This project requires a little sewing but it is really worth it! I love ideas that upcycle clothing. I think we all have some clothes in our closets that can use a second life. What better way to clean out your closet and end up with a great looking purse.

Flavored olive oils are great for cooking. Recently I have been experimenting with soaking different herbs and spices in olive oil to get some great tastes. To make your own just put basil, chili peppers, rosemary etc. into olive oil and let it soak a few days before drizzling on pasta, pizza, or anything else that needs a little pazazz.
I stored this basil infused olive oil in an old starbucks coffee bottle.
Step 1: Drink lots of Coffee!!!
Step 2: Soak the empty bottles in soapy water.
Step 3: Use olive oil to rub off any residue.
Step 4: Fill the bottle with as much olive oil as you’d like, and add spices/ herbs to taste.
Thanks to Amanda from: Crafts from Amanda for this great craft. This project would be fun for anyone, but I know that it is hard to find inexpensive crafts to engage boys. I think this one would do it, imagine this saucer flying around!
You could use a slightly used paper plate, that gives it the added benefit of being a recycled craft! I know I have often dropped a plate or two that I wouldn’t want to serve anything on but would be perfect for this project. If you look around the house you probably already have items to decorate the saucer with. If you can’t find anything to glue onto it you could let your kids paint or use markers to personalize the flying saucer.

I love this great personalized gift! Not only is it a great way to reuse old jars, but it is also so cute. This is a great way to package a gift, and a wonderful way to keep all those little items organized in a baby’s room. I can also see these looking great in a craft room after gifting a personalized item to a friend.

Its getting colder and with fall right around the corner this is a great recycling project. The face of the scarecrow is a recycled coffee can, but the best part about this craft is that you could really use anything you have laying around. The eyes even look great with old lost buttons.
